Fifth Continent's Landfall
"Uu, aa..."
"O, ow...!"
"M-monsters..."
I'm ignoring the groans behind me. These types always call us monsters, ugh. Thugs and their limited vocabulary.
Let's just get this over with.
"We're party [Tomorrow of Hope] from the fourth continent. We'll be in your care."
"Y-y-yes sir..."
...The receptionist lady looked like she was about to cry as she replied.
Please, no need to look so terrified like a cornered prey.
Hello there.
After getting off the ship, our first order of business was to visit the Adventurer Guild where we got in trouble right off the bat.
Apparently, the notion that 'Adventurers from the fourth continent are all weaklings' was commonly shared between adventurers in this port town's guild, so naturally some people immediately picked a fight with us.
They were a gang of three men, relatively strong at over Lv30, no wonder they treated us as weaklings and tried to extort money but well, the result is as you can see behind us.
"O, ouch...! How the heck did that pipsqueak do me in...!"
"There's that green haired brat the other day too. What's the deal with fourth continent folks lately..."
"Who said pipsqueak just now. Are you itching for another whack?"
"Hiie! Sorry! Give me a break already!"
Reina sure has gotten aggressive.
Just who did she learn that from. That crappy father? Nah, he's nowhere near this intimidating, what a mystery.
"Oh man, Reina's so scary, I'm scared."
"I don't wanna hear that from Kajikawa-san of all people!"
"It's Hikaru's influences no matter how you think about it..."
"Eeh...? Do I look that scary to you?"
"Un." "Yessire." 『Pi.』
"No no no, unlike you two who gave them a big wallop, I settled with just a finger flick on the forehead. What do you call that if not full of mercy?"
"The receiving end of that flick was blown away and passed out foaming at the mouth."
"To be frank with you, that man seems to suffer the biggest damage here. My punch is gentler..."
"...Hagaga... Uu, aa..."
The person groaning with blood seeping from his forehead is my victim, yep.
I held back to avoid dead and confirmed he didn't get a brain injury or anything so it's safe, safe.
I asked the guild for the safest route to the capital from this town.
I still don't get why the receptionist seemed relieved from the bottom of her heart when we left though.
Well now that's taken care of, time to look for an inn and rest for--

"Gyaaaaaaaaaa!!!"
"W-what!? Someone just got blown out of that inn!"
"Apparently a redhead woman is beating the crap outta some adventurers who messed with her! She came from the fourth continent!"
"That continent again!? What in the world's going on over there these days!"
"That woman's rampage getting out of hands! Someone hold her down!!"
...Or maybe not, let's tour the town a bit longer.
After all that goodbye on the ship, our reunion might come up sooner than expected...
"Oh, Hyula-san is going at it too."
"More like, there's way too many people looking for trouble here. What a sketchy neighborhood."
"Being constantly on vigilance is tiring..."
The group who tried to mess with us in the guild was actually the second one.
The first one was a gang of people who attempted to pushed me into the sea and kidnap Alma and Reina.
Well, dealing with them was a cinch cause they were clearly acting suspicious.
By the way, I violently threw them out into the sea. Think they're doing their best swimming back to dry land right about now. They should only have several hundred meters more till the shore, keep at it.
The first town we arrived on the fifth continent after half a month sea voyage from Randorainam is the port town [Hierunerin].
From a quick stroll, despite looking like Randorainam at a glance, what's actually there is completely different.
First off, the scale. It's easily more than thrice as big as Randorainam.
The anchored ships are all very big too, and the amount of people boarding the ships coming in and out are far larger.
Then there's the quality and quantity of goods sold in stores. It's not that Randorainam's stores are bad or anything. In fact, it's way more varied than most towns.
However, this town is doing trades with all five continents hence it's simply on a wholly different level.
If this were an RPG, this town would be one you visit in endgame.
I even caught sight of equipment made from Rank A materials here and there. The outrageous prices match them though.
And most importantly, ingredients! Seasonings! Spices!
Delicacies from seas and mountains, every kinds of sauces, spices, crops and local foodstuff you could imagine.
Most things from other continents are either preserved or put in cold storage though, nevertheless there's still so much variety.
"Uooo...! Is that basil, I can make Genovese sauce with it! Or maybe pizza, pasta, wait are those oooh? What, chestnuts, no, sea urchins? I can see something like clam inside though?"
"...He's like a kid at a toy fair."
"You don't see Kajikawa-san with sparkling eyes often."
『Pipi...』
Oh crap, I might spend all day just going around this food area!
All kinds of ingredients I couldn't get my hand on are here out in the open.
I would love nothing more than purchase all those, but our fund won't allow it. We just got new equipment and posted a commission after all.
But I can't stay here forever. The girls must be feeling like a boyfriend who's anxiously waiting and peering at his girlfriend picking clothes in a clothing store... Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Okay okay, I'll settle with buying two, three stuff.
...By the way, so are these chestnuts? Sea urchins? Or clams? I've no clue.
Now then, initially I was planning to take it easy and sit back for a while in this town.
But the shortest route to the capital where the martial art tournament will be held takes two weeks to traverse. We only have one month to get there, can't exactly laze around.
Meaning we can only stay here for three days at most. Gotta hunt nearby magic beasts for the sake of our fund in that time slot.
However, I'm told the magic beasts around these parts are the weakest on this continent, so we can't expect much.
"Well whatever. If they're weak, we'll just make up for it with numbers."
"Un. Each of us can easily hunt 50 Lv10-30 beasts on our own."
"...The magic beasts around here are going extinct..."
『Pii...』
Don't think there's any point worrying over that.
Besides, there are apparently cases of magic beasts spontaneously spawning out in the nature, not only from breeding. They're gonna multiply on their own anyway, so nope, no problem. I think.
"Those guys at the inn should settle down right about now. Let's call it a day."
I'll invite Hyula-san to dinner with us if she's staying at the same inn.
...Might get kinda awkward though.
