But I can just imagine those Administrative Office guys making things up to pick on me regardless.
There was no avoiding them, me think.
"Now then, what do... Right, I gotta sort out my bag."
I recalled one thing. I swiped a lot of swords from bandits. I haven't thrown any away so my bag is full of swords.
The reason why I got reminded of this now of all time is the sight of robust-looking men with swords on their waist walking around.
They're all over the streets. They appear to be a spectacle of this coliseum city, gladiators.
"Since combat is a common thing here, I'm sure there's plenty of stores that deal with weapons. Wonder if they accept trade in too? Either way works as long as I can unload them. Ah, I gotta sell meat and leather too."
I surveyed the surroundings trying to find a store I could dump the bear meat and leather I got the other day while peering in my magic bag.
I'm acting like a country bumpkin. Rural villager. Naturally people who see someone like me as a business opportunity would pop up.
"Heya? Is this your first time in this city? Want me guide you through the coliseum city? I'll chaperon you the entire day for one silver coin. That said, there's no way to see everything in one day, instead, I'll teach you how to thoroughly enjoy yourself at the coliseum. How about it? Or if you've already got a place in mind, I can show you the way too. What do you say?"
Well then. Taking up his offer might not be a bad idea.
But then, how am I going to be inconvenienced if this guy turned out to be a thug?
Or maybe he's the type that runs away after getting his pay.
There's also a chance of me getting dragged in a turf war between guides or something.
I had already thrown away the idea of walking around the city by myself.
(It's the same as ever, past, present and future. My path is never not twisted.)
My line of thinking has been twisted from all the experience of nothing ever going right with events like this.
Speaking from experience may sound solid. But put in another way, it's akin to having no trust in yourself.
The 'Factor of Unrest' is always in effect, tampering with my life no matter where and when I am in this world.
I simply cannot hope for ordinary. I understand that from the bottom of my heart. So much I'm fed up already.
Considering the usual flow of events, there's no way this guide event will end up mundane.

This place is the coliseum city. Combat comes with the territory. Gladiators exist, therefore swords must be in demand.
Same with good meat, and light yet tough leather. A store that accepts buying bear meat and leather must exist here.
With all that in mind, I bought his service.
