Thanks to my frantic appeals, they left me and Black Dragon only half dead somehow.
Or rather, they stopped moving altogether when I mentioned Alma getting mad. Aren't they too soft on their daughter.
And then, when Alma personally reminded me and Black Dragon to stop quarreling, Black Dragon tattled on how we got beaten up by her parents.
She got mad at them and gave them a silent treatment for a while.
The sight of them bending their bodies to nearly 90 degrees as they begged for forgiveness was quite surreal.
I bet the only time these two would lower their heads to apologize is when it comes to their daughter.
...To be honest, getting beaten up by these two feels kinda refreshing. No, I don't mean I'm into pain or (Etc).
I won't forgive anyone who hurts Alma, no matter who they are. That includes myself as the one responsible for almost killing Alma.
Alma may have forgiven me, but I can't do that to myself. It's not like I believe my sin has been cleansed after getting beaten up badly. I just wanted someone to hit me hard.
Honestly, it's just a self-serving wish in the end.
Not like I did it on purpose, I blurted that out by mistake after all.
Also, I have absolutely no intention of getting along with Black Dragon.
I haven't gotten a single apology from the lizard, and I wouldn't have accepted if he only apologized after those two beat him good anyway.
I'm gonna get even with that stinky lizard... Why would I cover him otherwise, darnit.
Also, I need to get more slices outta the lizard. The tail is nowhere near enough.
There's enough meat there to treat our entire party to a thick slice of steak, but I wanna fetch some leg meat, rib toast or sirloin the next time we fight.
Not just meat, his scales seem usable as materials for equipment. Even the tail tip looks fit as a dagger blade.
It's gotta hurt so much to that dragon, but that's just consequences talking.
As for our next move, we're gonna be training under Alma's parents somehow or another.
Were they discussing that while I was playing around with Black Dragon?
According to Alma's parents, they're here to train hero's party and any promising individuals they found.
Even that tournament was nothing more than a publicity stunt to gather individuals capable of fighting off demons.
There were around 100 demons that invaded this capital but every single one of them was over level 50.
Unlike magic beasts, not only are they intelligent they also wield both weapons and magic. They're hard to deal with.
It would be like as if an army of Advanced Job Paladins come invading... Put that way, not sure if that's menacing or not.
They would have been if it weren't for the Magic Stone Mines Reina set up and that White Demon's attack blowing them up.
...Thinking back, that White Demon must be pretty dumb. Why'd he go and blow away his own forces.
The only melee-related Skills guy got were Kempo and Martial Arts too... Despite his calm exterior, he must have brawn for brain. Dumbass.

So yeah, we'll be training under the parents for a while now.
Though not like it's everyday, it'll be a rotation of training -> leveling -> leveling -> rest day -> training.
You're free to do basic training like workouts on your own. That is to say you gotta think that much yourself.
There will be four main groups.
First, the party of hero, all three members.
Next up is Aizawa-kun, Hyula-san and Gazanginando-san.
Then, Baredrai, Rasfin and Radia-kun.
Lastly it's us three + one chicken.
Alma Papa will not only temper you in melee combat to raise your Skill levels, instead he's gonna focus on the training to cover weak points where your Skills can't cope.
Apparently the more you're accustomed to using Skills, the less wasted movements you do by intuition alone, but against foes above a certain level, relying only on intuition puts you at a major risk instead.
I couldn't ask for a better training menu as someone who can't use Skill to begin with... Oni-sensei is disastrously bad at teaching after all. I mean he doesn't even speak human.
Alma Mama will teach how to go up against demons, a training to deal with foes strong at both melee and magic.
You might think that a Mage-type like her wouldn't be that much a big deal in melee combat but this woman is one of a kind.
I mean her STR Attribute is over 1200. On par with Hyula-san who's a Power specialist, just how...
Her base INT is nearly 3000. Six times Alma's in simple calculation.
Those can go even higher if she uses Support magic. If this couple gets in a fight, Alma Mama who can use magic probably comes out on top. Scary...
...Having the same level as Oni-sensei at 96 isn't just for show. By the way Alma Papa is at Lv94.
The heck, Guildmaster, who said they were only over Lv70. They're twenty levels higher dangit.
Though well I can't blame him, he must have never thought they'd reach that height and became monsters. Yup.
Each group will do their leveling in different locations.
Hero's party and Aizawa-kun are at Lv50-70 spots, Radia's group at Lv30-60, our group is at Lv60-80 spots of magic beasts.
The goal is to get strong enough to easily defeat the highest leveled magic beasts prowlng each areas.
Hero's party and their revival grace will be fine, but will other groups fare well I wonder. Radia's group especially. Don't die on me now.
Hero-kun mentioned how he gotta do quite a lot of annoying preparations to undergo a Job Change once he's reached the level cap.
According to the parent couple, they had already made the necessary arrangement for him to obtain the required Titles.
...Wonder what kinda nasty magic beasts they're planning to pit him on. Do your best hero, don't lose hero.
"Ah, also, Hikaru-kun is going to fight us both at once midway through the training. Hope you're ready."

...My brain seemed to be rejecting the notion, my mouth wouldn't make out intelligible words.
Isn't that like, akin to a death sentence. I still want to live on though.
