Kamisama no Kago wo Kyohishitara?! Chapter 70

70 Unbelievable

My destination is the Merchant Guild. I've gotta make that old man 'Pay his due.'
Reimbursements for all the mess he's put us through.
Today was supposed to be Aryl's big day as a merchant. I'm gonna charge a huge interest for this crappy treatment.
I'm not gonna back down no matter the excuses. Not with this laundry list of complaints.
I left Eltros' mansion heading straight to the main street.

====  ====  ====

Bonats was standing by the entrance giving directives where to transport luggage.
That was when the rookie merchant from yesterday approached him with a pale face.

"C-chairman... I-I have an urgent report..."

"Oh, you're from the other day. Has something happened?"

Bonats spoke in a nearly monotonous tone, the usual Aryl would have taken notice of it but she was currently too shaken to.

"It's... But here it's a bit..."

"Fumu, then I shall prepare a room. Wait a moment."

Bonats finished dealing with the remaining luggage and led Aryl into the building.

He got someone to bring them tea. Aryl drank it up in one gulp and explained everything that happened.
Once she was done, she spoke anxiously.

"W-what should I do now..."
<TLN: Catch the latest updates and edits at Sousetsuka .com >
Bonats slowly folded his arms and ruminated on the matter.

"Fumu, very well. We will take care of it, including investigations and what actions to take."

(Her story matches the operative I sent to watch them since morning. I told him to keep watch from afar but there's no contradiction. Still... what? That young man did Zolden in? Simply unthinkable... and what comes after that is doubtful as well.)

"It must have been rough. Use this room to calm yourself down. Don't worry about anything and just take it easy."

"Yes, thank you so much. I'll take you up on your offer."

The mastermind behind all this put on a smile while acting the 'kind Chairman' part.

"I need to start the investigation on this matter. If you'd excuse me."

Two of Bonats' covert operatives have confirmed that the scheme this time has managed to deal a huge blow on the 'Underside'. One operative had gone back for interim report, confirming Zolden's death, while the other one should be back right about now.
That operative man publicly walked in the merchant association, walked up to Bonats and whispered in his ear.

"...Are you telling the truth... Unbelievable. So you came back without following them because you didn't want to risk it. It cannot be helped. You're positive that those two were really heading to Damo's mansion then?"

The man nodded to that and walked out the building.
Bonats' face changed from his jovial one to a scowl.
His wrinkles deepened as he hurriedly went to Randolf's room, the association's most powerful force.

"What seems to be the matter?"

"Things might get serious. You're necessary to bring this matter to a close."

This short conversation conveyed everything to both of them. The two left the room and headed for the chairman's office deep in the building.
But the one blocking their path was the bodyguard in question.

"I'm here to fleece you."

69 Two Choices, Unpicked 'Yes' and Progress Blocking

It seems some important screws in my head have been loosened up when I killed the bandits assaulting Aryl.
Not all of them have lost, some are still screwed in halfway. Or so it feels like.
The last magic beast I hunted in the village was more like for survival and food. So I think I was still fine back then.
However not everything works the same in this fully fantasy world as my previous world, and after experiencing just how lawless this world could be coupled with my 'Standard', I think there's been a clear line drawn between the loose screws and the tightly screwed in ones.

I will surely regard evildoers' lives lightly from here on. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to so easily reap 50 lives.
Legitimate self-defense, in my past life the rule didn't take the weak kindly, but in this world, all bets are off if your life is in danger. No mercy nor overdoing it.
Dead men tell no tales, this world may have magic in place of scientific investigations, but even if something like say necromancy or spirit summoning magic exist, stuff like those are usually shunned no matter the world, I also don't think they'd go so far as manipulating the dead.

Thus, rumor that the death of an evil head honcho is caused by someone with [Power], along with some concrete results should eventually get accepted as the [Truth].
This line of thinking is on the extreme side of [Evil] but since the other party itself was also [Evil], I don't feel particularly bad about it.
Now we just gotta turn over this syndicate a new leaf, into a better organization that contributes good to the world.

We're currently in a tidy room. Along with the elves. They hid themselves under some hooded robes on the way here. I was gonna part ways with them but they wouldn't relent on not following me.
Their long elven ears stand out, so rumor would have spread if they didn't hide themselves, but most of all, they're just too beautiful. Walking around with their faces exposed would absolutely invite trouble. Beyond a shadow of doubt.

"You're safe here, feel free to spend your time without worry. They've got beds and meals ready too, it's a good place to settle down."

"Where are you heading to? Milord?"

(Don't call me lord... I already refused you flat out... ah, yeah I never said my name, no wonder. But that's still no reason to call me lord... Ah, this must be... that.)

"You girls don't need to come along."

"But then, who will be your attendants..."

"No really, I don't need you. I'll come back here once I'm done with my business. Rest well until then."

"Yes. We shall do as milord says."

They all bowed together. I harden my heart to remind them once again. Yet at the same time, I just know that this is an unavoidable event.
A hunch that things will simply repeat forever if I choose [No], until I choose [Yes].

"I already refused your offer. That means you girls and me stand on an equal ground. No formalities or servitude needed with me."

"Then will you at least please tell us your name?"

(Do they not want me to just up and gone here? Can they look for me if they have my name? And I already told them to forget about feeling indebted. I told them to be free too... Ah I see. This too is a form of freedom.)

I gave up after seeing their sad, troubled and anxious faces. But I still won't accept it.
In the end, these girls are 'Free' whether I took them in or not. They're just not content with my refusal. They intend to 'serve' me regardless of my opinions on it.
Fed up with all this, I refuse to say my name and give them permission instead.

"Fine okay, just call me milord or whatever. Do as you like."

(I was a shut-in commoner, having subordinates or attendants are way too much for me. There's just no way. At most I can deal with something like polite clients from my corporate days. Not like this, one knee down the floor while looking up at me...)

Will I get used to this one of these days? Ugh I hope not. I sighed as I left the room.

68 Thought

I went back to the room they initially brought us to in this mansion.
There, I sank down on a sofa.

"Aah, it's been a long day. So tired. What a pain. I'm so done with all this crap."

I opted to get back here so we didn't have to stand around out there, but someone raised a voice of protest.

"When will you let me go? You don't need me anymore, do you?"

"What did I tell you again? Until I say you can."

"No... Didn't you promise you'd let me off once I led you to boss's place?!"

"No? You agreed to that yourself."

I disregard Eltros who's fallen into despair barely standing.
Oh right, the elves finished Damo off just before we went in the mansion.
But they slumped down the ground and started tearing up without a sound like a load had been off their shoulders.

(No talking to them there was the correct choice right? Not like I know the words to comfort them, and they'd probably go back to their homeland on their own if I just left them alone.)

Leave god alone and you won't be cursed (TLN: similar idiom to 'let sleeping dog lie'). That god kidnapped me against my will to this world though.

"Well then, let's now talk about the clean up..."

Click, the door opened just as I said that. It's the elves, they enter the room.
Then they stand in a row in front of me all of a sudden and...

"...Huh, what? What's up with this? Geez, I'm over capacity already. It's exhausting really. Real life prostrate is way too much."

All six of them took prostrate poses in unison without missing a beat.
This situation alone froze my brain. Even thinking is a pain. I wanna run away.
Without a doubt, I'm getting another pain in the rear pushed on me after this. Just one thing after another.
This has already goes beyond my thought process. Just what is [Normal] in this world?
I feel like I could hear the sound of reality breaking down before me.

"Ah, Eltros-san? Explanation puhlis."

"Wha? Puhlis? ...I believe these elves cannot speak well due to being voiceless from the collars for so long... They also have their own language. Although, they are capable of speaking common language if they wish to."
<TLN: Catch the latest updates and edits at Sousetsuka .com >
He sure knows a lot, I thought while I tried to escape reality.

(Eltros is an intellectual, yup, good thing he's here.)

But there's more. Explanation continues.

"I have heard that elves are a tribe that tends to show their intentions through actions. And elven prostrate would mean..."

"Ah, yeah, I'd better not hear that. Feels like it's gonna be a pain if I did."

(In other words, prostrating means their feelings go beyond just gratitude...)

I got a headache as I sighed from this.
Because their desire runs counter with mine.
I've gotta do my everything to persuade them, highly likely I'd fold if I failed here.
It's easy to imagine that template-like development. Another deep sigh.

(First thing first, gotta keep it moving.)

"Ah, could you please raise your heads? Also, do away with the kneeling thing maybe?"

They raised their faces but only one knee while the other stays on the ground.
Like knights kneeling before a king. I wanna yell out 'quit it.'

"Look here, my standing isn't any different than yours. What you're doing right now is like lowering yourself, or even your tribe, so please stop it, yeah?"

They shook their heads to deny my request. They're all staring so hard at me you'd think they'd shoot out beam out of their eyes.

(Oh crap... this mood... I need to end this for real. Gotta say something that'd disappoint them...)

Next to me Eltros had a 'What's going on?' perplexed look, but now's not the time to mind him.
I took a deep breath to get ready for the next paragraph.

"I saved you by chance, an extra I didn't plan to, I don't know you girls, nor are we related in anyway, you're free to do whatever you want now, okay? Go back to your hometown, no need to feel indebted by something this trivial. Just forget about all this."

Maybe they'd go away if I make it sound uncommitted? but nope, that didn't go well.
What seems to be their leader spoke up. It was tottering yet clearly firm.

"You who bear a great power has granted us lights. This joy has in turn become a vow of fealty, dedicated to you, our lord."

'Dedicated to you, our lord' x5 resounded loudly in the room.
Pushed back by the pressure, Eltros got himself overwhelmed to the wall.

(Yup, that's the normal reaction alright. I had an inkling it would turn into this...)

I frantically tried to come up with a way to persuade these girls. The peaceful life I'm aiming for has no room for these six elven beauties. [Quietly by myself] is a fundamental factor.

"Phew~. I must apologize but I cannot accept your vow of fealty. I've got my own circumstances to deal with. Sorry."

I decided to flat out refuse them since I couldn't think up an excuse. Yet, I couldn't shake off this uneasy feeling.
I mean, this stinks so much of being an unavoidable event.

"So please, can you stop with the formalities and kneeling?"

They all stood up and formed a neat line.

(They're not leaving... Ah, I knew it this is... Well guess I gotta roll with it for now. Next up.)

"Alright, let's go to your hideout now, Eltros."

'Wha?', looks like he hasn't gotten back to reality yet.

"I have an idea. You're gonna do it."

"...How, in this situation...?"

"Yeah that's why, but I'm lacking personnel. That's where your subordinates come into play, they're gonna put things back into order."

"What is going to happen now..."

"I just wanna this be over and done with already, here's the thing..."

Kamisama no Kago wo Kyohishitara?! Chapter 67

67 End of Matter

None here managed to capture me moving.
CLANK! Sound of swords hitting the hard ground resounded.
Damo seemed to have imagined me getting cut up, he had a smug triumphant look on his face.
But before he could even realize I wasn't there anymore, his mouth opened wide as he froze up.
The elves also looked shocked and stopped moving.
The elf whose sword I took stared quizzically at the nonexistent sword in her hand.
I repeat my demand on Damo to progress this stalemate.

"Mind rescinding your command on them? Otherwise you might have to say goodbye to this world, see?"

He finally realized the sword pointed over his throat.
But apparently he couldn't accept this reality as he started mumbling, 'this can't be, no way, inconceivable' without replying back.
I got a bit annoyed but endured it and asked him again.
I could see myself having the same reaction so I sympathized a bit.

"Will you do it, or will you not? Which is it?"

He finally spoke like his throat clogged up.

"Fine! C-come back!"

Once silence ruled the place again, I asked another question. As nonchalant as possible, like asking something I don't know of.

"You see, I've just left the countryside yesterday, I've no clue left from right. So, what are these girls?"

Apparently the tone was too unnatural for the mood right now, nobody replied back.
Looks like they couldn't comprehend how to answer that.
The elves have never uttered a word from the beginning so they're exceptions.
Therefore, I turned to the best candidate here, Eltros.

"Oy, Eltros, huh? Do you hear me? Ooy. Can you tell me?"

Eltros reacted at me suddenly calling his name and replied while standing in attention.

"They are elves. Demi-humans who have been living in the Great Forest before the empire."

"And what are those collars? How did they get to have those on them and arrive here?"

"T-those are magical devices that seal their voices and enslave them! I heard they sent an expedition near the elven settlement and managed to capture them by luck."

"Oy! You bastaaaard! Who gave you permission to speak that!"
<TLN: Catch the latest updates and edits at Sousetsuka .com >
"You're not allowed to talk without my permission. I don't mind killing you right away if you can't wait though?"

I stabbed the tip of my sword a bit, but the jelly-like sensation of the fat feels gross.
His throat is so bloated you can't even tell where the neck is, I'm actually surprised he hasn't kicked the bucket under the weight already.
But the person in question quiet down after feeling the pain and the blood.

I threw another question to check. Having a mutual understanding is important in this world. You need a detailed explanation that leaves no room for misunderstanding or misinterpretations even if it means asking persistently.
Hearsays aren't enough. Yet I shouldn't take too long here either.
Gotta be concise and precise.

"So in short, these girls bear no fault on their own, yeah? They were brought here and enslaved by force. Kidnapped. Is that correct? OK?"

"Oo? Kay...? Ah, eh, erm, that... will be correct."

"Enslaved... How do those collars work again? How do you remove them? I'd like to free them, see?"

The word magic device has a suspicious ring to it, but I'm guessing it just makes the wearer unable to remove the collar. This is when Damo speaks up in protest.

"What did you say? You bastard, how much money did you think I spent to catch them!?"

A flash of light ran through before Damo could finish. 'Blech' something fell down with that sound, he slowly put his hands on his throat.

"Hia! B-bloodddd! I-I'll dieeee! S-someone, save me....!"

The sight of a a lump of fat flopping around from seeing his own blood was too much, I turned away. Perhaps I should just [Unfat] it entirely to make him stop moving.

"Shut up. Be quiet. You won't die from losing a bit of flesh. You're making a racket. Quit moving around. Or what, you wanna die?"

Damo stopped moving when he realized how little blood comes out of his neck.
The reason why I haven't killed him is because there's a chance those collars can't be removed if he dies.
Fantasy-like development, magical collar devices, mana. I can't make a hasty decision with so many unknown factors still.
However, Eltros gave an explanation that dispelled all that.

"Those collars cannot be removed. If you attempt to, mana of the person trying to remove the collar, and the wearer's mana will interfere with one another and cause an explosion. Naturally, the enslaved cannot remove their own collar either. Even if you gave the order to."

(...Oh? Interfere? This must be... that, right?)

"So, you girls. Would you like to kill this man if your collars are removed?"

"Bastard! Don't be outrageous!"

I kicked the annoyingly persistent pig on the stomach to quiet him down. I'm gonna treat him as a pig now that I'm done with him.
'Wait, that's rude to pigs', I thought that as I looked at the girls while ignoring the knocked out lump of fat.
The six elves are looking back straight at me with bafflement in their eyes.
They don't understand how I could suggest that right after getting told the collars are unremovable.
Standard of fantasy, it's clear these girls intend to kill Damo themselves from their enraged expressions.
But even if they had the answers already, the collars remained an obstacle, they could not even nod.

"Those collars cannot be removed. They can be rewritten with a new magic if the owner dies, but the enslavement remains. And it costs a huge amount of money."

Eltros gave an additional tidbit from the sideline, a cold hard one.
Nevertheless, I keep staring at them without sighing or brushing it off. What matters most is their own will.
I shouldn't force them. Sexual harassment is completely off limit. Of course I'd put up a defensive line.
They seemed to have relented at my unbending stare as they looked at each other to confirm each other's will before finally nodded.

"OK. Then, mind if I touch it? Eltros. Will these collars react just from a touch?"

He seemed to have gotten used getting asked, he quickly replied.
As expected. Might as well use this guy as a wikipedia replacement from now on.

"The attached magic gem will shine blue, yellow, and red in order. Once it has turned red, trying to forcefully remove it will activate the mechanism."

"You heard him, it's not gonna explode right away, want to give a try?"

One elf bravely stepped forward. With a tragic look on her face as if accepting death.
She's the elf whose sword I took. Judging from the mood, she must be their leader.

"Get caught up in explosion you! Die! Die die die!"

'Clack', the collar got removed along with that sound. Felt like I heard an 'Eh?' too there.
Two, three, four, five, six, all of them got their collars removed.

"But how!? Just how'd you bastard do it!?"

I gave the sword back while ignoring the yelping bug.
The six looked dumbfounded at first, but my action became the signal, one by one they walked up to Damo in anger.

"This cannot be... Stop, you lot! Who do you think I am..."

Disregarding the plea, each of them started cutting up the lump of fat as they please.

"Guhyaa! Stop ittt! Help! Help... he! No! ...Ugu..."

They were bent on making him suffer thoroughly, I couldn't bear to watch or listen to it.
As I looked away from the wailing, I spoke to Eltros.

"And now let's get back to that room to talk about the future."

66 Sooner or Later

"Good, you didn't run off. We got lotsa pent up shit from this stiff life, y'see. Just one punch ain't gonna enough, make sure ya don't die too quick yeah? We'll be sure to give ya some good wallops if ya keep at it."

Foul unbearable laughter reverberated.

"Alright, do it. Don't hit too hard and keep me entertained now. You can make a mince meat out of him anytime. Leave it for last. Now, dance well."

One person approached me afterward.

"I'm first. Finally a punching bag. I'mma beat his ass!"

"This guy must be a dumbass. That Damo guy said he's busy. But he does nothing besides laughing buhibuhi and lazing all day. How else he got that body."

====  ====  ====

I [Accelerated] and punched them all one by one, simple.

====  ====  ====

The next thing you knew, every single one of these men were blown away.
Eltros next to me stared blankly into space without moving a muscle.
Heaps of corpses. Thud, thud, only sounds of them falling down the ground filled the courtyard.
Damo broke the silence a bit after.

"What in the hell happened here! Oy! What have you done?!"

He bent himself forward on his sofa almost to the tipping point as he shouted and sent saliva flying everywhere.

"I just knocked them all. Wasn't even enough for a practice run."

He probably won't understand either way, but I replied all the same.
In the quiet courtyard, no groans, breathing or even sounds of rusting clothes could be heard from the 50 men.
I only hit them since I'm not about to reproduce that bloody splatters again, and they all went to afterlife as a result. No comment on that.

All six elves behind Damo stared big eyed in wonder.
I had a nonchalant thought when I saw that, 'Beauties remain beauties even with bitter and shocked looks on their faces huh.'

As my mind was occupied with that, Damo who couldn't accept reality yelled out.

"Oy! You lot! Why's none of you standing? Answer me?!"

"Ah, they're all gone already. But there's no problem is there? I mean these guys are all scoundrels anyway. Right?"

"You, just who are you! Oy! Eltros! What is this guy?! Oy, listen to me you! Explain!"

Now he feels threatened, but there's no way out of this, not after we got to this point.
It's too late asking me now. He should have done so when I was trying to have a dialogue in his room.
Even the person he's pressing for answers for, Eltros knows pretty much nothing about me.

Eltros could only shook his head repeatedly like a broken toy. His face looks lifeless.
That seemed to propel Damo's sense of impending crisis even further, he shouted even louder.

"Oy, elves! K-k-kill that guy!"

The girls drew their swords out of nowhere. They slowly drew near me, surrounded and slashed at me.

<TLN: Catch the latest updates and edits at Sousetsuka .com >
====  ====  ====

These elves all have all kinds of expressions on their faces.
Resignation, anxiety, resentment, terror, anger, sorrow, anguish, grudge. Not to mention a mix of a lot of emotions.

(This pattern, I gotta save them do I, I get it... It's a fantasy after all.)

They went slashing at me from six directions at the same time.
However, there was no way they could touch me in this [State].
I matched their super slow motion movement, stood next to the elf in front of me and gently took her sword.
Afterward, I walked out of their confinement, and undid Acceleration state after putting the sword tip over Damo's neck.

"Mind rescinding the command you gave those girls?"

65 Whereabouts of Power

They could have been lurking anywhere. This room is spacious, with many tasteless looking giant objects placed everywhere.
I was wondering why he didn't have guards at first.

(Hee, I see. Guess that thing is still the boss of a mafia. No cutting corner in protection for himself. Of course, I guess.)

"I am a busy man, you see. My time is far too valuable for lowly peons like you. Still, I don't get much stimulation these days. That's it, I'll have a show of you getting beaten up to death as a accompaniment snack for my drinking session."

This guy really went straight to 'Kill him' without even asking what I want, but I might as well make use of it.

"Sounds rough. A suggestion if I may. How about you gather everybody in this mansion at courtyard and get each of them punch me once? Repeat that until I die."

"Buhyahyahya! Oy! Eltros! Is this guy you brought a dumbass? Or maybe he got a death wish? Must be insane that much is clear, hyahyahya."

Eltros stayed silent at that filthy laugh. Trying to make himself smaller while looking at me fearfully.

"Fine, you're gonna be a snack for my drink. Oy! Gather round everyone at the courtyard, leave no one behind."

I take my time leaving the room. All while having the underlings encircle me to prevent me running away.
I caught a glimpse of the six elves carrying Damo along with the entire sofa he's sitting on.

(Oy... How lazy can you be... I mean, there's six of them yeah, but those women so easily lift up that thing with their slender arms... Where'd that strength come from with those slim builds?)

That bizarre sight shocked even me, but there's no end to it if I get bothered by that, so I decided to look away.
<TLN: Catch the latest updates and edits at Sousetsuka .com >

Around 50 people have gathered in the courtyard. Including the men from the gate and the one who met us at the mansion.

They've formed a circle surrounding me and Eltros. Still sitting on his sofa, Damo had a broad grin on his face as he made himself comfortable watching us.
The six elves are standing silently behind him. Unlike before, they're looking at me with sorrowful eyes.

"Oy, try to stay alive for a round at least. Otherwise, there's no point bunching these guys here. Do your best to keep me entertained."

"Good, now that they're all here, nobody's gonna slip out. I can take care of this stuff in one nice fell swoop. Would have been a pain if they ran off scattered everywhere."

Next to the talking me, Eltros shouted out to Damo.

"Please wait! I have nothing to do with this!"

"You're taking that guy's place when he drops dead midway through. It's your punishment for bringing such an insolent peon to my face! I'll let this matter slide if you manage to hold out for a round."

Damo coldly said that to Eltros. I sighed back at him.

"People like you really don't get what power is, no understanding at all what it truly means. You have nothing on you, not even the most minuscule amount to survive, less than livestock."

Position, honor, authority, money, none of those can stand up against [Power].
No matter in this world can stop true [Power].
What he's attempting to do to me is a lynching. Violence.
Violence through power in number, made possible through power of money, two types. But I possess a [Power] that goes beyond those.
Power loses its meaning against a bigger badder [Power].
Regardless of position, to hell with honor, unstoppable by authority.
A vast ultimate primordial [Power] in its purest form.

Bearing that affords me to stay calm.

64 Indispensable Part of Fantasy

The door was slowly opened. Eltros went in the room, followed by me.
And this boss, Damo was just terrible. What's terrible about him you ask?

It's like a concentrated mass of ugliness. Wearing a black robe, overt jewellery garnishes his entire body and more.
A fattened up pig that looks like he's about to pop open any second.
The thing is taking up the entire width of a very sturdy looking sofa where it sits.
A deluxe monster where everything is doubly extra.

====  ≠====  ≠====

Damo Cherikston. Born in a merchant house. His parents would spoil him rotten long before he gained awareness, similarly when growing up.
Naturally his personality turned into an arrogant tyrannical one.
With all the money he had, he could buy everything he wanted. Selfishly having his ways, ordering around his employees.
He grew up into a man who would use any and all means to gain advantages and profit himself at the expense of other, all while believing that is only right.
He made his move soon after he came of age. As a moneylender using his excess amount of pocket money.
But he was an usurer. A typical loanshark mafia, resorting to ruthless violence to those who couldn't pay, he also got his hands dirty on land speculations, asset seizures, and even human trafficking.
Everything was done by his subordinates, while he himself never took the spotlight besides raking in the money. He wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice his underlings if there were a search. A completely wicked at heart money-grubbing dirtbag. He's also quite cautious.
His father died just as he turned 25. After he took over the business, he sent away his mother to a health resort as a pretext and took complete control. He then used this mercantile house as a cover for his base of operation where he dabbled in all kinds of crimes.
And eventually, a huge crime syndicate was formed in this commercial city.
It didn't take long until the framework was completed and money would automatically flow in without him as much as lift a finger.
He would get anything he wanted with this money.
However, he never figures out that in this world, there are things money just can't buy.
And soon, the man is going to experience firsthand just what that means.

<TLN: Catch the latest updates and edits at Sousetsuka .com >

"Hmph, what do you want? Someone of your stature talking face to face with me... Know your place."

Even talking seems to be an ordeal for the man.
Six women are standing in a row near the wall behind Damo. All quite the beauties. Captivating.
However, they're all gloomily looking down with bitter faces. Wonder if it's because those collars on them.

(Ah man, are you for real. Who coulda thought I'd come across them here.)

Beautiful lustrous waist-long silver hair, and long pointy ears poking out of it.
Essential in Fantasy. Elves.
They're wearing simple white dress, all looking down unmoving.
The gems embedded on their collars dazzlingly reflect lights. Seemingly serving a function.

(There must be a story behind these girls. Ah, guess it's that usual pattern?)

Probably slaves. It's easy to guess from the mood around them.
Another template, another thing I just can't overlook otherwise it'd leave a bad taste.
While I was captivated by the elves and trying to come up with ways to free them, I got brought into the discussion.

"Yes, I beg your forgiveness. But this man here has an urgent message he needs to tell Damo-sama directly."

Eltros said that and moved behind me. I caught a glance of him sweating bullet.

"So you're the boss of this syndicate, yeah?"

"You! How dare you! Watch your tone! Eei! Cut him down now! What an eyesore!"
