At the Farthest Reach of Floor 16
Floor 15's boss is a skeleton. It's sitting in a throne holding down a sword like a cane on the ground.
Despite its feeble-looking exterior, it's Lv85 with STR... STR? Going over 2400. The thing's a real powerhouse.
Not much difference from my unbuffed stats though.
Even with all the plus from weapons and equipment, it was nothing compared Alma Papa.
It made for a nice sparring partner for my Limitless Alter combat style but never once did I feel I was in danger.
If only it was Lv90 at least, it could have used 'True Beast Release' and got to near Alma Papa's strength, I bet.
...Speaking of which, do these things have always been a skeleton? Are they born like that?
Or is it a human skeleton controlled by someone with necromancy of some such?

Floor 16 was a sea of magma.
I'm not kidding, the entire floor is made of magma and it's super hot. Really, really hot.
...What the heck. I do see some footholds sticking here and there, you're telling me to stand on those? When did this turn into a Ma* village stage. It's just weird.
You'd spontaneously combust sooner or later with ordinary equipment here. Heck, you don't even have to touch all this magma to get burned badly.
Well, thanks to my high Attributes, I suffer no damage, but it's hot.
...I wrap my whole body in mana and convert it into cold air. This much doesn't consume a lot of MP, I'll keep this on.
Hn, waitaminute, magma?
That's it, I'll lift it up with Mana Control and stow it away in my Item Screen.
Just after I used up all the magma I got from mid-class spirits during the capital defense the other day too. Good chance to replenish... Wait, why'd anyone even want to replenish magma tho'.
...I got carried away and ended up storing ten rooms worth of magma, cooling down the temperature in this spot.
Apparently, the magic beasts on this floor obtain their energy from the magma. Thus they have been rendered powerless, turning this area into a safe zone.
Eh, what about those beasts you ask? I exterminated them all, problem? Raised my Level to 69 thanks to them. Can't wait to find out what the next function is.
It took me a long time getting this far including conquering Floor 15, I decided to call it a day.
...The magic beasts on this Floor don't seem edible.
Living fireballs, flame-clad golems, every single one of them was of those types that'd make you believe they have magma running in their veins instead of blood.
Oh right, wonder if I can use magma as a stove... It'll burn me huh. Let's not.
I finally arrived at the farthest reach of Floor 16 after flying above all the magma for around half a day.
The room was far more spacious than any room before, likely about as big as the Tokyo Dome.
In the center of it was a huge lizard with wings, protecting the path to the next floor.
Yup, a dragon is perching there.

...This dragon raised a middle finger and even dropped the f-bomb. This seem go beyond stressed out.
There's not a hint of tragedy due to how lighthearted he is being but I do feel sorry for him.
Menu-san, can we Fast Travel this dragon out...

The dragon whispered like he was begging. His gaze fixed at me harbors a strong will.
Looks like it understood there was no way to live outside his role as a dungeon boss.
I feel bad killing him but the other option is even crueler... I need to press ahead as well. There's no avoiding our clash.

The dragon let out a breath of flame to burn me down.
I flew away with Mana Flight, leaving the spot I was at melting down into magma.
It's a cut above Minimum Jormundgandr's Attack. My HP would probably melt down if I got hit by that.
"Take it easier if you want this done, will you!"
『I cannot respond to that request! I would leave behind a grudge if I pull my claws back in my last and final battle!』
"Oh yeah!? It's high time to die then!"
I doubled my Attributes with Energy Control.
My base form has 2400s Attributes. Doubling that raise them to nearly 5000.
I can still go further, but I feel like brute forcing this fight isn't the way to go.
『Hohwo! I know not what you did. But your reflection has turned humongous in my eyes!』
"Not quite on your level tho!"
I dodged his attacks and rushed at him with Mana Flight.
I drove Pile Bunker on his forehead!
"Oraa!!"

A moment before my attack connected, the mana scales enveloping the dragon's body concentrated on its forehead, repelling my pile bunker.
My pile managed to destroy dozens of the scales, scattering splinters everywhere, but the dragon's body itself is unhurt.
Oy oy, how'd that even work. This fight is surprisingly dicey.

The dragon seized the moment I lost my balance after having my pile blocked and unleashed a 'Quick Dragon Breath'.

Ah, but I won't lie, I might be having fun too.
To me fighting is only a means of survival, leveling is usually full of scary things and I never feel it was fun if not for Alma and the girls.
But when a fight is this fun, it's just, you know?
