Kamisama no Kago wo Kyohishitara?! Chapter 561

561 A Tad Fun

Stupidly high raw strength alongside with a flesh so sturdy you'd think it's made of steel.
Apparently that's my body. It's beyond human no matter how you want to slice it.

(Guess it is godly power. Binota-kun, you might be right on the money.)

I let out a left jab at the surprised Balgaranda. Since his fighting style is boxing-like, I'm gonna respond in kind.
Balgaranda pulled himself together and leaped backward, dodging my jab.
But I'm not done yet. He got the first strike so now it's my turn.
I closed the distance between us and unleashed a series of jabs at his abdomen.
My fists can't reach his face no matter what I do. I can if I put in some effort but then it'd be meaningless.
This is a test run. For me to gauge my strength and for Balgaranda to go all out.

Hence I'm only gonna target stuff that are within my fist's range.
In 'normal' state not Accelerated, of course.

Balgaranda dodged all my attacks.
Not even one of my dozens jab graze, let alone hit him.
I guess the martial arts I learned in my past life is no match to someone who dedicates his whole life in real battlefield.

I stopped attacking, knowing it would be pointless.
I was impressed at his ability to easily dodge all my punches. He really is the champion, the one that stands above all.

But upon a closer inspection, Balgaranda's face is all sweaty. He's sweating bullets.

"...I have a feeling I cannot allow even one punch hit me. I was desperate to dodge. That challenger, Malvas' finisher stab was nothing compared to your punches. It was terrifying. Just how much weight was there behind those fists?"

We loosened our stances and started chatting. Balgaranda asked while regulating his breathing.

"Hm~? I didn't put much power into those punches, really. I think you'd be alright even if they grazed you. Ah, then, how about a pure contest of power?"

I was caught off guard at my own suggestion.
I might be having a bit of fun for experiencing a form of a proper match after so long.
Balgaranda was on board.

"Please go easy on me."

Thus we took both our hands and put power into our grips just like I did with Gadd at the elven village.

"You don't mind if I go all out right off, do you? ...Hmph!"

The result should be obvious considering our builds. Balgaranda is taller of course.
Our position makes him tower over me like he's gonna bulldoze me flat.
The strength he put into his grip is real. Anybody would be crushed by this purest form of power, except me.

His opponent's power is godly in nature. I don't feel the slightest  from him.

(What is this emptiness. Guess I can never experience the joy of getting stronger...)

I've been spending my free times doing stuff like working out, running, and practice swinging. I suppose they are nothing more than self-satisfaction.
The more you train the stronger you are. Laying out the groundwork for your confidence.
Slowly but surely, your effort is paid off in build-up strength.
Yet, there's no point anymore to do those for me.

(He's top man you know? The one standing on the peak of this coliseum. His raw full power is currently being directed at me head-on. And I'm not even putting in my strength in the least.)

Balgaranda loosened his grip and took a step back.

"Dear me, it's my utter defeat. There's no hope of victory for me in a pure contest of strength. I give, I give."

I sighed in relief thinking I'm free now.
