576 Black and Blue
"And now! Black Wind Queen has made her appearance! Is our challenger capable of breaking through her tough-as-nails wall!?"
Looks like she's got an epithet. It must signify her traits. Either her methods of attacking or defending.
"Yes! I'm talking about none other than the 'Blue Gale'. No one has ever managed to stop his arrows, the gale of potential has finally come knocking at the queen's door herself!"
Looks like the challenger is also an epithet holder, proof of the strong.
"Both sides are known for their ability to freely control arrows with winds! Will this battle show us the absolute superiority of the black wind!? Or will a lone gale finally overtakes that power at last!?"
The announcer's word play managed to grasp the audience's hearts as cheers erupted.
"Our challenger, Dyudo, has stepped on the stage following the queen! His face is full of confident! His blue garment reflects the vastness of sky! His outfit is as flashy as eveer!"
It's a refreshing looking young man. His expressions exudes complete confident, kinda veering a bit on narcissistic.
I'm intrigued at his other garments, but let's not touch on that for now.
More importantly.
"Her ever piercing gaze! The black queen who has filled the shoes left by this city's legend, Balgaranda! She has never lost to anyone! But our hero himself! There is no doubting her strength! Who knows how will the dice roll in this match!"

Apparently Balga defeated even this queen renowned for her strength and entered the hall of fame. Just how strong is she anyway?
"Now! Both gladiators take up your position! 'Black Wind Queen' Kyaro! Versus... Challenger, 'Blue Gale' Dyudo! Begiiin!"
A signal sound rang throughout the entire arena. Yet the two archers wouldn't pull their bowstrings despite having their bows at the ready.
The challenger stands out in his blue attire with white arena as the backdrop. Meanwhile the queen is only wearing a swimsuit-like clothing with a paleo on her waist.
They're black colored too. How her silver hair sometimes reflected violet color as sunlight shone on it surprised me though.
And her black skin has the same tone as Japan's own 'ganguro'.
Lustrous milk chocolate color. The biggest surprise however, is her ears.
(Dark eeeeeeeelf?! So they exist... Okay...)
I was completely floored when she showed up at first. Though I kept my calm outwardly.
My reason for enduring that is Selram who's been grinning next to me all this time.
For some reason, I'm worried to show my reaction before Selram after watching Balga's attitude toward her.
"Now this is quite a surprise. So she's a dark elf. How come she's here?"
I tried my best to sound as composed as possible as I asked.
But Selram won't answer me. I mean, Balga didn't answer me either when I asked him.
Naturally she won't give me the time of the day. Balga seemed to know but she kept silent.
"I'll let you see our cutie pie later. How about asking her yourself?"
Selram winked while saying, 'A special favor just for you.' In the meantime, the two gladiators still haven't made their moves.
At the height of the silent tension, the announcer seemed to grow impatient and complained to urge the two.
