573 Bad Result from Doing Extra

Balga is almost the spitting image of a character from a certain one punch manga.
I was sure he'd go incognito while he walked me around the town. I mean, guy is super popular in these parts.

Yet that never happened. The people on the streets only revered him with their hands joined while saying 'Thank ye' from afar instead.
I have no idea how they come up with that.
(Well whatever. I'd rather this than getting jostled around.)

Well I won't deny that hydras must be pretty fearsome and troublesome too. But dragons are surely even higher in the pecking order.
My thought got weirdly derailed. I threw Balga a question in order to get it back on track.
"By interesting, do you mean there are different kinds of matches?"
Balga evaded my question with a smile.

He brushed it over with a laugh. I asked about another matter.
"You're the champions of all coliseums right. Does that mean you're an expert archer too?"
"Yeah, I can wield all weapons. I think I'm just about as good with all of them. Bow and magic might be a bit of a special case. I just happen to be a jack of all trades, master of none."
He looked smug. Calling himself that with such sheer confidence doesn't really bring him down.
In fact, he's more like an all rounder who has mastered every martial arts.
He must have spent an inordinate amount of time, hard work, money and time on top of outstanding will power to arrive at that peak.
"Katana was the only weapon I didn't have any chance to train with. Hm? Starting my training on one now sounds like a fun time. That sharpness was simply superb. Mind teaching me the way next time?"
I almost said OK at his innocent plea.
I don't plan on getting any closer to Balga.
I'm only here to tour this city before leaving again. I can try to get to know him better if I end up staying here later.
"Oh, I'm not good enough to teach others yet. Besides my position doesn't allow me to take in a pupil. Not until my master has granted me his permission."
Of course I will never get this permission. The dojo teacher who taught me katana is not in this world after all.

The man had no ill intention riding on those words. He really is purely interested in katana.
I told him sure thing.
(I'm not gonna draw my katana willy nilly while I'm in this city though.)
This chat is a flag. There's probably gonna be an event where I draw my katana in this city later on.
Thus, I gave the okay without even considering that.
We arrived at the coliseum in the meantime.
