Outstanding Girls' Growth and Achievements at the Capital
The day after I managed to get Hyula-san's group learn Energy Control, I'm now having a practice match with Alma and the girls.
Our last match to make adjustments before the recapture operation.
Tomorrow, we plan to take it easy and kick back until afternoon.

Sword in hand, dagger and shuriken grasped, from a chick to a platinum colored chicken. The girls are ready to throw down.
They may lack the intensity at a glance, but make no mistake and underestimate them.
At worst, this is like facing up against three magic beasts higher than Rank S altogether... A hopeless situation in a way.

I heard a familiar voice behind me.
I turned around and saw a pair of a silver haired man and a blue haired man.
...Who? Their faces look kinda familiar.

Ah, yeah! I remember now. The former was the silver haired man that showed Reina the ropes on Offensive Magic at the training ground after the eating contest and during Reina's Energy Control training. It's been a while.
The latter... It's 'Blue' who started shouting at me out of nowhere blinded by unsubstantiated rumors about me. Go home you.
Fumu fumu, the two are exactly at Lv50, probably just got promoted to Advanced Job too.
They went up 20 levels from the last time we saw each other. Unlike that 'Heavenly Dragon (lol)' party, they must have been through a lot ranking up from Intermediate to Advanced Job.
"Ah, Kaguruata-san, how you been!"
"Doing good, I'm glad the same can be said to you it seems... Hm, you've got a dagger with you. Weren't you an aspiring mage?"
"Err, that was because I needed to learn Offensive Magic Skill to get this 'Ninja' Job before I came of age back then."

I barely managed to but the girls seriously look like they don't. Hiyoko never met him before though, so that's only right.

With the signal, Reina threw her shuriken upward.
It turned gigantic and distorted its shape. Looks more like a thick barbed wire than a shuriken now.
The girls melted down into the shadow cast by it.
'Shadow Dive' huh. Most attacks don't work on you while you're inside shadow turning you nearly invincible. It's Reina's favorite trick.
It's got one fatal weakness. Those lurking inside get immediately driven out when you shine light onto the shadow.
Righ before I could convert my mana into light energy and shine on the shadow, three kunais jumped out of it toward me.
Mere kunais would do nothing on me, but not when they're gigantified like this. Gonna hurt if they hit.
'I can swat them down just fine though', just when that thought crossed my mind.

One of the kunais got several times even bigger.
Wait wait wait! It's like 50 times bigger than its original size! How much mana did she put in it!

She can now cast Magic Sword without touching directly? Yet another new trick up her sleeve...
But that thing's nothing more than a giant lump of metal. I know plenty of ways to deal with one.
I could repel it with Mana Pile, or store it inside Item Screen--

'Extended Mana Slash' shot out of the gigantified kunai alongside 'Mana Blade Split Strike'.
...Aren't they going too hard at this? Or maybe they think, 'This much won't kill him.'
Well, they're right.
I caught all the kunais with giant Mana modeled after my hands and stored them in Item Screen.
I then converted the mana hands into light energy and shined on the shadow.
The girls reappeared.
I see, they're done preparing their attack.
"'Ocean Blade' - 'Mana Blade Split Strike' - 'Needle-point Thrust'!"
"Charge complete! 'Mana Blade Farslash' - 'Mana Blade Split Strike'!"
Blades made of water branched into tens, no hundreds of blades and flooded straight at me head-on.
Reina also shot out Mana Blade Farslash clad in powerful lightning.
Stopping them all would be difficult. Using the trick I learned in my fight against Lava Dragon, I broke through the attack with Mana Drill and charged toward Alma!
Since the attack isn't concentrated in one point, getting out of it was relatively painless.
Heck, what's Hiyoko been doing anyway...?
『Cluuuuuu....!!』

She's sucking in Alma's and Reina's attack into her mouth?

A torrent of mana that surpassed even that of a dragon's breath shot out of Hiyoko's beak which then clashed with High-powered Pile Bunker.
The whole area shook along with a thunderous roar.
...I managed to minimize the damage asides from a crater in the training ground. I gotta fill that up later...
"H, he just casually stopped that...!"
"I knew it. Hikaru, is incredible."
『Cluck!』
"...Girls, think a bit about the trouble you cause to the surroundings, will you..."
The damage would have been enormous if that attack landed on the capital.
I'm gonna admonish them later.
Ah, ah, the people here fell back on their rear with eyes rolled back in their sockets. That blue guy even passed out.
...I can hear that long purple commander's sarcastic remarks already. Haa...
